New Faculty Members Join GWIMA
GWIMA welcomes new and returning faculty members for its sixth season! In order to offer our young artists the best learning and musical experiences, the academy is honored to invite a few new string masters to teach lessons, masterclasses, and perform concerts this summer. The new faculty members joining us this season include world-renowned Chinese violin soloist Ning Feng, French violin soloist Marina Chiche, viola professor Liu Nian from the Shanghai Conservatory, and cello professor Long Man from the Wuhan Conservatory. In addition, GWIMA is grateful to invite back the American String Quartet from the Manhattan School of Music, violin professor Nancy Tsung from the Taipei National University of the Arts, and viola professor Matthias Buchholz from Hochschule fur Musik Köln.

New Season, New Location!
This summer, GWIMA is moving to the Beijing Oriental Sun City Guest House International Hotel which is located 10 kilometers east from the Beijing International Airport. Young artists will take their private lessons, rehearsals, chamber music coachings, and on campus concerts in independent regions of the hotel that’s designated only to the academy. In order to manage the students’ rooming situation more efficiently, we will divide students by age and sex onto different floors in the hotel building. We hope all young artists are responsible, self-motivated, and have a wonderful experience this summer!

Online Application System
As an annual festival of Classical music performances and education, GWIMA opens its gates to all young talented string artists around the world. In order to process your application with more efficiency, we have already launched our new Online Application System since this season. For more information about application and live auditions, please go to our Admission page.
