Yuqing SHI

Born in Beijing, China, Yuqing Shi started his piano study at age 6. After receiving education from Professor Zhaoyi Dan at Shenzhen Arts School and Eleanor Wong at Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, He was successfully admitted by University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music as the highest scholarship-owner in 2010 and currently studying with Professor Eugene Prindonoff. He also attended masterclasses taught by famous pianists including Gary Graffman, Peter Frankl, Vladimir Krainer, Pascal Rog¨¦ and Tam¨˘s Ung¨˘r.

During nearly 20 years of his piano studying, Yuqing has won numerous prizes and awards both domestically and internationally. Major honors include the First Prize at the the Eighth Xinghai National Teenager Piano Competition in Beijing, 2000; the Silver Prize at the Third Chopin International Piano Competition in Japan, 2001 and the Fifth Prize at the Second Asian Youth Music Competition in Hong Kong, 2004. Being a young pianist who has unstoppable passion pursuing art, he is very active on stages in China, Hong Kong and overseas as both soloist and accompanist.
